CX SPECIALIST

Job Summary:
Welder’s Supply & Gases is looking for a Customer Experience (CX) Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for enhancing the customer experience, and providing potential and existing customers with exceptional services. This includes identifying customer needs, responding to customer queries, collaborating with internal departments to optimize customer services, and brand awareness. To be successful you must have a passion and drive for helping others.
Accountabilities:
- Providing, enhancing, and tracking customer experiences across in-person, phone, and online channels, devices, and touchpoints. Accounts Receivable
- Collaborating with internal departments and teammates to enhance customer services and brand awareness
- Aligning customer experience strategies with marketing and e-commerce initiatives
- Communicates relevant information with customers and internal departments e. upcoming price changes, newly available products, newly stocked products, manufacturer rebates, related products, discontinued products, etc.
- Showroom Responsibilities
- Monitors and ensures timely assistance for showroom customers and visitors, (i.e. timely greeting, assistance, check out, and follow-ups/add-ons), and maintains teammate productivity
- Monitors and optimizes the overall customer experience (including but not limited to: consistency, speed, pricing, ease, appropriate level of depth and completeness of counter support and knowledge, and handling of returns and customer complaints)
- Assists with hiring and training, as needed, to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service
- Monitors, trains, and assists teammates in customer service, product promotions, product knowledge, and standard operating procedures at the counter.
- Grows showroom store sales by seeking ways to better promote the store, product lines, and service within the store
- Monitors and optimizes average lines per showroom order
- Ensures the store remains clean, neat, and presentable at all times
- Monitors and coordinates showroom “sticker” pricing
- Promotes and ensures product registrations for welding equipment
- Monitors and maintains stocking levels in the showroom, purchasing parameters, and accuracy of inventory items on display in the showroom and sold at the counter
- Maintains displays of seasonal, new, and closeout products
- Monitors and insures accuracy of inventory records for showroom stock
- Accuracy of serial number records with machines
- Participate and assist in annual physical inventory and cycle counts, as appropriate
Requires Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency with or the ability and willingness to learn Welders’ TIMS system and reporting tools and CX and CRM software
- Solid knowledge of customer engagement platforms and channels
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer centered approach
- Good verbal communication skills, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to act with integrity, reliability, and professionalism
- Work 8am – 5pm M- F, periodic 8am – 12:30pm Saturdays, and other times, as required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business management or similar preferred, relevant experience may be substituted
- Minimum of two (2) years retail and/or customer relations experience, three (3) years preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and working a mobile or desktop computer device
- May need to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate access to Welders’ facilities
- Attend, as appropriate, meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn of new industry products and trends and make contacts with suppliers
- Minimal travel required

ACCOUNT MANAGER/REPRESENTATIVE
JOB STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Sales
JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Account Manager and Representative are responsible for managing and growing business through sales of cylinder, bulk, medical, and specialty gases as well as welding equipment and industrial supplies.
Accountabilities:
- Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs
- Manage, maintain, and grow growth profit through increased sales and opportunities with both existing and new business
- Conduct effect business reviews, demonstrating the current function and utility of products and services to the customer based on their needs
- Ensure continuous customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale
- Maintain communication with both existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
- Uphold detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provide territory sales forecast with cause and effect relationships due to price increases, strategy initiatives, current market conditions, and other factors
- Maintain current product knowledge through participation in training, as well as involvement with outside trade organizations and governmental agencies
- Works safely and meets the requirements of all company safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State and Federal regulations and the Company

Education and Experience:

- 6+ years’ experience with hunting and closing, providing engineered solutions that involve complex sales cycles, to mid and large size companies
- Comfortable selling through various means, over the phone, web-based video, and in person
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel approximately 70% of the time, mostly within the local area
- Work 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday and a rotating Saturday (once every 6-7 weeks) 8am to 12:30pm
CDL CLASS A OR B LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER
Job Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Welders Supply & Gases is looking for a Local CDL (A or B) Delivery Driver to join our team! As a Delivery Driver, you are a key member of the team! You will responsible for safely and efficiently loading, transporting and delivering cylinder gases to local customers.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, and energetic. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.
Accountabilities:
- Loading/unloading and delivering empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
- Performing and documenting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections
- Maintaining knowledge of and complying with all DOT and OSHA regulations
- Ability to follow provided route given from dispatch daily
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and legibly to submit at the end of each business day
- Resolving or escalating any customer inquiries or issues as needed
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle
- All other duties as assigned
Requires Skills/Abilities:
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- HazMat Endorsement – (HazMat Endorsement is not required to apply but must be obtained shortly after employment begins
- Must be able to thrive in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to understand and follow instructions
- Clean commercial driving record – minimum 3+ years
- Successfully completing of pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Successfully completing of a company administered road test

Physical Requirements:
- Working indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)

FLEET MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:
The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing the company vehicle fleet. To be successful you should have basic knowledge and understanding of diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel and non-diesel vehicles including mechanical, structural, and body components. This position is responsible for DOT fleet records and compliance. Safety of employees and company equipment must be first priority.

Accountabilities:
- Perform periodic inspections to determine condition of company fleet vehicles
- Perform routine brake inspections and adjustments on commercial motor vehicles
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to including – oil changes, tune ups, lubricating chassis, wheel hubs, axels and fifth wheel as needed
- Check and replace belts as needed
- Diagnose minor electrical issues
- Basic tire inspections and replacement including rotations and tread depth checks
- Inspect, service, and repair lift gates
- Order and pick up parts from approved vendors, as needed
- Coordinate, follow-up, and document any outsourced maintenance performed by approved local service providers
- Communicate with drivers and the Manager of Equipment & Facilities to follow preventative maintenance schedule and policy
- Assist in new and repurposed fleet preparation
- Prepare, update and maintain fleet service and repair records/files
- Respond to field service calls
- Ability to safely drive company fleet in and out of lots, as well as test drive
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with general equipment and facility service, repair, and installation, as requested
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Possess CDL Class B license
- Refrigerant experience a plus but not necessary
- 3- 5 years automotive mechanic experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements:
- Normal work schedule: 8am – 5pm M- F
- May need to lift over 50 lbs., at times
- Moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling and squatting
