Fill Plant Operator
Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Job Summary:
Welders Supply & Gases is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Production Operator to join our Louisville fill plant team. This hands-on position is responsible for safely filling, inspecting, labeling, and preparing compressed gas cylinders for delivery to our customers.
This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing a job correctly, and can consistently contribute to a steady, team-oriented work environment. Previous compressed gas or welding-industry experience is helpful but not required. We provide hands-on training for the right candidate.
What You Will Do:
- Safely fill high-pressure and low-pressure gas cylinders and liquid containers according to established safety and quality procedures.
- Inspect returned cylinders for dents, cracks, burns, damaged valves, and other potential concerns.
- Accurately label, tag, document, and prepare cylinders for shipment.
- Load and unload cylinders from company vehicles and pallets.
- Safely move and position cylinders using proper rolling methods, carts, and other equipment.
- Secure cylinders properly during handling, storage, and transportation.
- Clean cylinders, remove outdated labels, and perform minor cylinder maintenance.
- Read and interpret cylinder labels, markings, color coding, and product information.
- Maintain accurate quality-control and cylinder-fill records.
- Monitor inventory levels and help maintain sufficient product to meet customer demand.
- Assist with specialty gas laboratory and other plant operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to safely maneuver cylinders weighing more than 100 pounds by rolling them or using appropriate carts and equipment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive physical work throughout the shift.
- Must be able to follow all required safety procedures and wear assigned personal protective equipment.

Local Delivery Driver
Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Position Type: Full-Time, Local Delivery
Job Summary:
Welders Supply & Gases is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL Class B Local Delivery Driver to deliver compressed gas cylinders and related products to local customers.
This position is a good fit for an experienced commercial driver who values local routes, takes pride in safe and accurate deliveries, and provides professional customer service. Drivers are responsible for loading, transporting, delivering, and unloading compressed gas cylinders while following company, DOT, and OSHA safety requirements.
A HazMat endorsement is not required at the time of application. We will assist the selected candidate with obtaining the endorsement shortly after hire.
What You Will Do:
- Safely load, transport, deliver, and unload full and empty gas cylinders.
- Follow daily routes and delivery instructions provided by dispatch.
- Complete and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and submit documentation at the end of each day.
- Provide professional and dependable service to customers.
- Resolve routine customer questions and escalate concerns when needed.
- Meet delivery schedules and communicate promptly about delays or route issues.
- Safely move cylinders using proper rolling methods, carts, and other equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Valid Class B CDL
- Clean commercial driving record with at least three years of commercial driving experience
- HazMat endorsement or willingness and ability to obtain it shortly after hire
- Dependable attendance and consistent punctuality
- Strong commitment to safe driving and material-handling practices
- Ability to follow routes, instructions, and established procedures
- Attention to detail when completing delivery documentation
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Compressed gas, welding supply, industrial delivery, or local route experience is a plus

- Work occasional overtime as business needs require.

Elizabethtown Counter Sales & Warehouse Associate

Job Summary
Welders Supply & Gases is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Counter Sales & Warehouse Associate to join our Elizabethtown team. This hands-on position combines customer service, sales support, order processing, inventory, and warehouse responsibilities.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping customers, learning about industrial products, and staying active throughout the workday. Previous experience with welding equipment, industrial supplies, or compressed gases is helpful but not required. We provide hands-on training for the right candidate.
What You Will Do
- Assist customers in person and by phone with purchases, orders, and product questions.
- Learn about welding equipment, industrial supplies, compressed gases, and related products.
- Recommend appropriate products and accessories based on customer needs.
- Enter and process customer orders accurately.
- Provide information regarding product availability, order status, and shipments.
- Handle cash, credit card, and customer account transactions.
- Process compressed gas cylinder purchases, returns, and exchanges.
- Receive incoming stock and pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders.
- Stock merchandise and maintain accurate product and pricing labels.
- Load and unload cylinders, trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles.
- Maintain organized inventory locations and accurate product identification.
- Keep the counter, showroom, cylinder dock, and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Work closely with team members to support customers and daily branch operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
