CX SPECIALIST

JOB STATUS:  Full- TimeNon-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY:The Customer Experience (CX) Specialist is someone who has a passion and drive for helping others.  The CX Specialist is responsible for enhancing the customer experience, and providing potential and existing customers with exceptional services.  This includes identifying customer needs, responding to customer queries, collaborating with internal departments to optimize customer services, and brand awareness.

Accountabilities:

  • Providing, enhancing, and tracking customer experiences across in-person, phone, and online channels, devices, and touchpoints.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and teammates to enhance customer services and brand awareness.
  • Aligning customer experience strategies with marketing and e-commerce initiatives.
  • Communicates relevant information with customers and internal departments.
    • e. upcoming price changes, newly available products, newly stocked products, manufacturer rebates, related products, discontinued products, etc.

Showroom Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and ensures timely assistance for showroom customers and visitors, (i.e. timely greeting, assistance, check out, and follow-ups/add-ons), and maintains teammate productivity.
  • Monitors and optimizes the overall customer experience (including but not limited to: consistency, speed, pricing, ease, appropriate level of depth and completeness of counter support and knowledge, and handling of returns and customer complaints).
    • Assists with hiring and training, as needed, to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Monitors, trains, and assists teammates in customer service, product promotions, product knowledge, and standard operating procedures at the counter.
  • Grows showroom store sales by seeking ways to better promote the store, product lines, and service within the store.
    • Monitors and optimizes average lines per showroom order.
  • Ensures the store remains clean, neat, and presentable at all times.
  • Monitors and coordinates showroom “sticker” pricing.
  • Promotes and ensures product registrations for welding equipment.
  • Monitors and maintainsstocking levels in the showroom, purchasing parameters, and accuracy of inventory items on display in the showroom and sold at the counter.
    • Maintain displays of seasonal, new, and closeout products
  • Monitors and insures accuracy of inventory records for showroom stock.
    • Accuracy of serial number records with machines.
    • Participate and assist in annual physical inventory and cycle counts, as appropriate.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency with or the ability and willingness to learn Welders’ TIMS system and reporting toolsand CX and CRM software
  • Solid knowledge of customer engagement platforms and channels
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer centered approach
  • Good verbal communication skills, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to act with integrity, reliability, and professionalism
  • Work 8am – 5pm M- F, periodic 8am – 12:30pm Saturdays, and other times, as required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degreein marketing, communications, advertising, business management or similar preferred, relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of two (2) yearsretail and/or customer relationsexperience, three (3) years preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • May need to lift up to 50 lbs, at times.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and working a mobile or desktop computer device.
  • Must be able to navigate access to Welders’ facilities.
  • Attend, as appropriate, meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn of new industry products and trends and make contacts with suppliers.
  • Minimal travel required.

 

 

ACCOUNT MANAGER/REPRESENTATIVE

JOB STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Account Manager and Representative are responsible for managing and
growing business through sales of cylinder, bulk, medical, and specialty gases as well as welding equipment
and industrial supplies.

Accountabilities:

  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service
    needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs
  • Manage, maintain, and grow growth profit through increased sales and opportunities with both
    existing and new business
  • Conduct effect business reviews, demonstrating the current function and utility of products and
    services to the customer based on their needs
  • Ensure continuous customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship
    management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale
  • Maintain communication with both existing and previous customers, alerting them of new
    products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
  • Uphold detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any
    customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provide territory sales forecast with cause and effect relationships due to price increases,
    strategy initiatives, current market conditions, and other factors
  • Maintain current product knowledge through participation in training, as well as involvement
    with outside trade organizations and governmental agencies
  • Works safely and meets the requirements of all company safety procedures and rules as
    prescribed by State and Federal regulations and the Company
  • Performs other duties as assigned

CDL CLASS A OR B LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER

JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY: As a Welders CDL HazMat Driver you will safely and efficiently load, transport and deliver bulk and cylinder gases to local customers.

Accountabilities:

  • Loading/unloading and moving empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
  • Performing and documenting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections
  • Maintaining knowledge of and complying with all DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to follow set schedule of daily deliveries
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and legibly to submit at the end of each business day
  • Resolving or escalating any customer inquires or issues as needed
  • Ability to work under some pressure to meet deadlines
  • Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid Class A or B CDL
  • HazMat and Tanker Endorsements – (HazMat Endorsement is not required to apply but must be obtained shortly after employment begins
  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Clean commercial driving record –minimum 3+ years
  • Successfully completing of pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
  • Successfully completing of a company administered road test

  • Knowledge or experience in gas, welding and safety supply industry is a plus

  • Working indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)

FILL PLANT OPERATOR
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Plant, Facilities Manager

JOB SUMMARY: A Fill Plant Operator safely handles and fills compressed gas cylinder products to be delivered to customers in a timely manner. This position is based in Louisville, KY.

Accountabilities:

  • Filling all gas cylinders, high and low pressure, and liquid containers in accordance with safety procedures, quality.
  • Accurately labeling, tagging, and preparing cylinders for shipment.
  • Loading and unloading cylinders on and off company vehicle.
  • Loading cylinders on and off pallets, ensuring they are secured
  • Rolling cylinders to designated work area using appropriate safe work method.
  • Examining returned cylinders for surface defects, dents, cracks, burns, etc.
  • Cleaning, removing old labels and minor repairs/maintenance on cylinders.
  • Understanding hazards of gasses, sizes and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and color-coding of tanks.
  • Monitors and maintains sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Managing quality control fill records as required.
  • Assisting in specialty gas lab as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

COUNTER REPRESENTATIVE
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY: The Counter Representative will be responsible for assisting customers with purchasing and ordering products focusing on gases and welding/industrial supplies. Duties will also include receiving incoming stock, and picking, packing, and shipping outgoing orders

Accountabilities:

  • Assisting customers in store as well as by phone to purchase and order products.
  • Performing customer service activities such as answering questions, resolving challenges, tracing order statuses or product shipments.
  • Evaluating and recommending appropriate product, equipment, and/or programs to customers based on need.
  • Promoting ‘add-on’ sales of gases and high margin hard goods accessories
  • Keeping retail store stocked with merchandise, and maintains product pricing labels
  • Handling cash and charge account transactions
  • Processing cylinder returns, exchanges and purchases
  • Unloading/loading gas cylinders to maintain stock on cylinder dock
  • Loading trucks and trailers with outgoing product
  • Maintains inventory storage locations, and product identification labels
  • Maintains cleanliness and neatness of Retail Store and Counter, and the warehouse work areas
  • Maintains customer records and files, including keying orders, accurate account setup information, and appropriate pricing discount information
  • Works closely with and provides sales support to the Inside Sales team

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year(s) of Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales a plus
  • Knowledge or experience in gas, welding and safety supply industry is a plus
